I love the Gap for my basics, and I’ve got a lot of black clothes in my closet. It’s easy and much of it can be swapped in and out with different looks and worn season to season. The earrings are simple flattened circles by Jill Platner. I love discovering great street jewelry from local artisans and street vendors. The silver beaded bracelet (actually a necklace) was a weekend find in SoHo. The silver band on the other wrist was made for me by one of the artisans at the Mercado Modelo in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil, to replace a watch band. I thought it would be a temporary fix, but I wear it all the time.
